Permissions to send a cross-group note

When adding recipients to a note, you will be able to select any group or subgroup in which you are a leader, or any subgroup in which you are a participant.

Choosing the context to send 'from'

Notes will show the author's name and profile picture, along with one of their group affiliations. The affiliated (Sub)Group name is determined by where you are when you click the 'Send a note' button.

Consider which context you are speaking from, or on behalf of, then open the Create Note modal from that group or subgroup.

Adding (Sub)Groups as recipients

In the top section of the Create Note modal, find and click the + button.

This opens a list of all groups that you have the permission to send notes to. You can expand a list of subgroups under each group.

You can also use the search field to find your recipients more easily. Both groups and subgroups will appear in the search results.

When you have found your chosen recipient(s) in the list, simply click the checkbox next to their name, then use the 'Save Selected' button to add them to the note.

Bonus tip: See a list of everyone who will get your note

Once you have written your note, use the button 'Continue to preview' to proceed. From here, you can 'View all participants'. This is a useful way to confirm the members from all addressed groups and subgroups before you send out the note.

If anybody is missing, you might consider adding their email as an external recipient, so that they can stay involved in the conversation without having to join another group or subgroup.
