Code of Conduct

A well-defined code of conduct (CoC) fosters a healthy network by serving as a guiding framework for acceptable behavior and interactions among its members. An effective CoC will promote mutual respect, inclusivity, and ethical behavior, creating a positive and safe environment for collaboration and communication. The intention of a CoC is to both prevent and address conflicts, harassment, and inappropriate conduct, if and when they arise. To this end, it also needs to include pathways to get help navigating conflict, and provide fair and meaningful consequences if it is disregarded.

A clear code of conduct will encourage accountability, set expectations for behavior, and ensure that all members contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere, ultimately contributing to the sustained success and growth of the community.
